Performing a Warm Boot ( Soft Reset ) on the PHL8000
To perform a Warm Boot on the H15, press the reset button on the back of the PHL8000. A Warm Boot will not delete any data or erase settings.
Performing a Cold Boot ( hard reset ) on the PHL8000
To perform a Cold Boot on the H15, a sequence of buttons has to be pressed. To cold boot press and hold the following keys at the same time: "power button"+"reset button" ( on the back ), then release them.
The device should now perform a Cold Boot.
WARNING: A cold boot resets the device into factory default settings. All data that is not in the DiskOnChip folder of the device, will be deleted.

- the ‘a’ can be 1 or 2 denoting Numeric Keypad or Full Keypad respectively
- the ‘b’ can be 1 or 5 denoting 1D or 2D scan engine

How can I configure WiFi setting on my PHL-8000 or H15 device?
The WiFi module integrated in the PHL 8000 is from Summit Data Communication, Inc. and the WiFi management Software is from the same company. You can find the user manual of the Software here or if you prefer, it is possible to download a PDF Quick Start Guide.
The WiFi card supports Cisco Compatible Extensions version 4.
